Heading the way of the Duggars

It seems as though if you have more then three kids then you have too many kids or are weird like the Duggars. But when looking at history, we in the west seem to be the odd ones. Through out history, there have generally been large families. The modern rationale for not having children tends to fall into various categories. Its too expensive, we don’t have the money, who has more then 3 kids nowadays and I could go on and on. While these are all valid reasons it seems kind of odd that most of these individuals tend to live very elaborate life styles.

Its not as though I am promoting that people should have more then 10 kids, however having more then two does make sense to me. The actual expense of these kids doesn’t rise substantially, also they start raising each other. The numbers that are thrown out for children from 0 -18 lies around 200,000 however that number drops with each kid you have, especially if they are the same gender…you know you recycle toys and clothes. My daughter wears some of the clothes from my sons, she wears a Flash shirt that all my other kids wore before her and it is really cute.

Children are not easy to raise and require quite a bit of dedication. In fact there are plenty of reasons not to have children. The world is definitely not a wonderful place to be in. Also it is tough in our modern society to find a good partner, so I would rather see people be happy being single then be miserable in a relationship. However if you find a good partner then I would highly recommend having children and being the best parent that one could be.
